Welcome, RN Class of 2022!

It’s time to welcome our next group of RNs to the Bolivar Technical College Alumni Association!

We had 32 graduates, including 15 LPNs that completed the RN Bridge program, graduate on May 7th. Many of them will be in facilities you work at or visit!

The graduates are: Shanisha Alexander of Bolivar, Gwendolyn Barber of Nixa, Allyson Barrett of Republic, Ashley Bridges of Stockton, Hailey Carter of Buffalo, Deirdre Clemens of Willard, Taylor Collins of Buffalo, Sarah Crites of Springfield, Jennifer Cunningham of Springfield, Krista Elder of Stockton, Cheri Eyanson of Morrisville, Stevie Flatt of Springfield, Lee Green of Marshfield, Erika Handley of Hermitage, Samantha Hodges of Elkland, Melissa Hopkins of Bolivar, Angela Horinek of Long Lane, Tiffany Jones of Ozark, Casey Keith of Dunnegan, Kayla Long of Greenfield, Linda Miles of Bolivar, Cecilia Miller of Aldrich, Irma Miner of Bolivar, Jennifer Mitchell of Osceola, Amanda Morris of Jericho Springs, Darian Morris of Dunnegan, Diana Munro of Lebanon, Ashley Quezada of Willard, Ashlie Shimmin of Springfield, Kaitlyn Simmon of Springfield, Allison Steward of Blue Springs, Lee Ann Summer of Springfield, Brianna West of Aldrich, Caitlyn Williams of Ozark, Shayla Yount of Bolivar and Brittany Zaring of Humansville.

Two students graduated with honors, Brittany Zaring (Cum Laude) and Erika Handley (Cum Laude). A handful of these graduates are applying for our next RN to BSN Completion program that starts this fall. It’s 100% online, so they can work as RNs while continuing their education. Mrs. Mock, BTC’s Nursing Education Director, encouraged the students who were interested in getting their Bachelor’s Degree to start sooner than later. “I wish I hadn’t waited to start my BSN program because I had gotten out of the ‘student mindset’, but I am so glad I did it. The one year went by quickly and I was proud of myself for earning that next degree.”

As many of you know, these grads completed four semesters of intense classwork and preparation with patients to become well-rounded nurses. They were met with challenges from the pandemic and chose to start nursing school during a time of uncertainty. We are very proud of them for sticking through it and stepping up when they’re needed.

Congratulations to the Class of 2022 and welcome to this outstanding group of people!
