About Bolivar Technical College

“They care about you as a person and for you to succeed. Even if they don’t have a solution, they will listen to you and try to help in any way they can. That’s from office staff to instructors; everyone was like a family there.” -Serenna L.

Why BTC?

We’re a small school with small class sizes, close to home, where everyone really does know your name. At some larger schools, you’re stuck in giant classrooms with an impersonal atmosphere and no help in sight, but at BTC you’re a name, not just a number.

Help is always available and our staff and faculty bend over backward to help out with whatever you’ve got going on as we help you navigate the waters of a nursing program. Our instructors care so much that they give out their personal phone number so students can reach out any time.

We know you don’t want to waste your time with unnecessary gen-eds, in huge classes where it’s difficult to get the one-on-one help you need. After all, the whole reason you’re spending all this time and money going back to school is to make sure you graduate and pass your licensure exam so you can work.

We get it. We ONLY offer healthcare education programs, and we do this so we can devote all of our resources to this specialty. We’ve gone above and beyond to include an exclusive NCLEX prep program that helps prepare you for licensure throughout the duration of our programs. Our track record proves itself…BTC had an average NCLEX pass rate of 100% between our 2022 LPN and RN grads. On top of that, nearly 100% of those students secured jobs after passing their licensure exam.

We think you’ll love it at BTC. From our small school feel, to our unbeatable NCLEX pass rate, we make our students’ success our number one priority.

Take a tour of BTC

Anatomy and Physiology (A&P) is a core piece of a nursing student’s curriculum as it studies the different systems within the human body and sets a foundation for what nursing students will build upon throughout their education and career. For this reason, our faculty is continuously researching the newest and most effective ways to help our students learn about the human body in the A&P lab.

To begin their A&P class, students move into the computer lab and work with a program called ADAM on demand. ADAM on demand is a virtual lab that shows students the body system they’re learning about that day and asks them questions as they’re learning. Students are able to manipulate the body virtually to learn about each piece in that body system before they move into the A&P lab. By the time they get to the lab, students have a good understanding of that body system and are excited to feel the parts of the body that comprise that system.
