BTC Welcomes New Cohort of LPN to RN Bridge Students for the Summer Semester

Bolivar Technical College (BTC) has just started a new semester, and it’s an exciting time for everyone involved. We are thrilled to welcome a new cohort of LPN to RN Bridge students to our campus.

Many of the incoming LPN to RN Bridge students graduated from the LPN program at Bolivar Technical College.

"It's always great to see students return to continue their education, as it shows their dedication to their career and their desire to continue learning and growing," said Avril Pebworth, BTC Student Resources. “We are proud to provide a supportive and welcoming environment for all our students, whether they are new to the school or returning after completing another program.”

The LPN to RN Bridge program is designed for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) who want to further their education and become Registered Nurses (RN). This program is perfect for those who have experience working in healthcare and want to take their career to the next level.

On our welcome day, we had a lot of fun catching up with BTC LPN grads — eight of the eleven RN Bridge students are BTC grads — returning to advance their career and getting to know new students. One of the most exciting parts of the welcome day was the introduction of the faculty members who will be teaching the LPN to RN Bridge program. The faculty members are all experienced nurses and educators, who are passionate about helping students achieve their goals. They provided an overview of the program, its expectations, and its requirements. Additionally, they shared some tips and tricks on how to be successful in the program.

During orientation, students were given a campus tour, including our state-of-the-art simulation lab where they can practice clinical skills in a safe and controlled environment. The simulation lab is an important part of the LPN to RN Bridge program, as it allows students to gain hands-on experience in a variety of scenarios, from basic nursing procedures to complex medical emergencies.

We are excited to welcome our new cohort of LPN to RN Bridge students and look forward to supporting them throughout their journey. They will face challenges and obstacles along the way, but we are confident they have the skills, determination, and support to become wildly successful Registered Nurses.
