I've always been driven by a deep passion for learning, teaching, and the continuous pursuit of excellence in patient care. Becoming a nurse educator allows me to merge these passions and play a role in shaping the future of aspiring nurses. I earned my ASN here at BTC, so I have first hand experience that the faculty and staff create an incredibly positive and supportive atmosphere for both students and colleagues, which is why I am proud to now be part of this amazing nursing faculty team.
My journey in healthcare and office support spans 15 years, starting as a medication aide in residential care. This experience provided me with valuable insights and a strong foundation in patient care. I then went on to become an RN and bridged to get my BSN from Chamberlain University. During that time, I served as an RN at Citizens Memorial Healthcare, where I had the opportunity to work as a home health nurse. Additionally, I held the position of a Level 1 Medication aide and insulin instructor for residential care facilities, where I played a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of residents.
I am excited to share my knowledge and experience with our future nurses and to contribute to the nurturing and growth of our students here at Bolivar Technical College!
