BTC Celebrates 68% Increase in Enrollment for Summer 2026
Posted on June 30, 2026
This summer, we’re celebrating something exciting at Bolivar Technical College!
Our summer cohorts are larger than they’ve ever been! That means more healthcare professionals than ever are choosing to continue their education. Compared to 2025, applications for our summer nursing programs increased by 68% in 2026, showing that more LPNs, Paramedics, and RNs are taking the next step toward advancing their careers with BTC.
Over the last year, we’ve made changes to our programs to make nursing school more accessible, which we believe is a key player in why enrollment is up.
"Some courses that were previously required to be completed before beginning the program have now been built into the nursing program so nurses can get started faster," said Erin Mock, MSN, RN, Director of Nursing Education at BTC. "We've also incorporated more hybrid course formats, which has given students more flexibility and made nursing school while working or balancing family responsibilities a bit more attainable."
One of the most rewarding parts of this summer’s enrollment is seeing so many familiar faces back. While we’ve welcomed plenty of new students, many of those beginning classes this summer are recent BTC graduates continuing their education with us. There’s something special about watching our alumni keep building on their foundation and doing it with their classmates who’ve become family.
Whether someone is returning to school after years in the workforce or continuing their education immediately after graduating from BTC, we want earning the next credential to feel achievable. Our goal has always been to create nursing pathways that fit the lives of working individuals while maintaining the personal support we’re known for.
We’re currently enrolling for our Professional Nursing (RN), Practical Nursing (LPN), LPN to RN Bridge, Paramedic to RN Bridge, and 100% online RN to BSN Completion programs.
