Posted on May 26, 2026

Bolivar Technical College is proud to celebrate two exceptional nursing students who earned a place on the Spring President’s List for achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA while attending full time. Jessica Closser of Springfield and Ella Schrope of Bolivar were recognized for their academic excellence, determination, and commitment to their future nursing careers.

For many nursing students, balancing coursework, clinical preparation, family responsibilities, and work schedules is no small task. Earning a 4.0 GPA while navigating those responsibilities reflects the kind of dedication needed to succeed in healthcare.

“Jessica and Ella have both demonstrated the discipline, determination, and work ethic needed to succeed in nursing,” said Charlotte Gray, President of BTC. “Earning a 4.0 GPA while attending full-time is an impressive accomplishment, and we are excited to see both of them continue their education in our nursing programs.”

Continuing Their Nursing Journey

Ella Schrope has been accepted into BTC’s Fall 2026 Professional Nursing (RN) cohort, where she will continue preparing for a career as a registered nurse.

Jessica Closser is currently enrolled in the first semester of BTC’s RN Bridge program. The RN Bridge pathway is designed for licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and paramedics who are ready to advance their education and transition into registered nursing.

Congratulations to these hardworking students!
