BTC students receive over $5000 in Spring 2023 scholarships

     Navigating the scholarship application process can be overwhelming for many students, particularly those who are unfamiliar with the various resources and opportunities available to them. Fortunately, BTC has staff members dedicated to helping students find and apply for scholarships. Our team is committed to providing students with the support and guidance they need to access a range of scholarship opportunities. By helping students secure funding for their education, we aim to empower students to reach their full potential and pursue their academic and professional goals with confidence. 

    The BTC Education Foundation was founded in May 2020 and was created specifically to be able to award scholarships to BTC students for use in their healthcare programs. Congratulations to the following nineteen BTC students for receiving the “BTC Education Foundation Scholarship”, a $200 scholarship, for the Spring 2023 semester. Brianna Becker of Bolivar, Heather Bishop of Stockton, Julie Brown of Bolivar, Caley Dalton of Stockton, Amie Engel of Springfield, Jazmin Flores of Mount Vernon, Crystal Gholston of Springfield, Trinity Guffey of Bolivar, Charlene Hebeler of Lebanon, Kasey Hightower of Fair Grove, Kelli Johnston of Stockton, Michelle Jones of Greenfield, Elisa Marcum of Fair Play, Elizabeth Molnar of Springfield, Brenda Morrison of Republic, Amelia Oberg of Nixa, Erin Sopher of Flemington, Matthew Wiseman of Bolivar and Lisa Wolf of Pittsburg. 

     BTC was also able to award scholarship money to BTC graduates who are returning to BTC to continue their education in 2023. Congratulations to the “Spring 2023 BTC Alumni Scholarship” recipient, Jennifer Gary of Springfield, who received $500. Jennifer is an RN to BSN Completion student who anticipates graduating December 2023. She is a BTC alumni who graduated from the Professional Nursing (RN) program in 2022. 


     BTC and Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) work closely in many aspects, including awarding scholarship money to CMH employees who are students at BTC. Congratulations to the following CMH employees for receiving the “BTC CMH Employee Institutional Scholarship” at Bolivar Technical College for Spring 2023. Brianna Becker of Bolivar, received a $200 dollar scholarship.  Becker works in the ER at CMH hospital. She is enrolled in the Professional Nursing (RN) program and anticipates to graduate in April of 2023. Julie Brown of Bolivar, received a $200 scholarship.  Julie works as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) at the CMH hospital. She is enrolled in the Professional Nursing (RN) program and anticipates to graduate in April of 2023. Michelle Holder of Stockton, received a $200 scholarship. Michelle works as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) at Lake Stockton Healthcare facility. She is enrolled in the Practical Nursing (LPN) program and anticipates to graduate in December of 2023. Erin Sopher of Flemington, received a $200 scholarship. Erin works as a Tech in the CMH Infusion Center.  She is enrolled in the Practical Nursing (LPN) program and anticipates to graduate in December of 2023.
